The Therapy Information Network Web Stie was officially launched on April 2, 2006. The site, designed by Louis Hoffman, PhD, a licensed clinical psychologist, was developed for mental health consumers interested in becoming informed consumers. Dr. Hoffman has committed to offer a portion of his time on a regular basis to providing free information to consumers. A primary medium for this information is through various free internet sites designed for consumers. Additionally, Dr. Hoffman also volunteers his time to speak to local groups and organizations on important mental health issues.
At the time of the initial launch, several initial resources are available for consumers. The Therapy Information Web Site will be updated on a regular basis. Dr. Hoffman will take the primary initiative in updating the web site, although he does consider contribution from other professioanls that fit with the goals of the web site.
Professionals are also able to request a free link to their web site. Any professional requesting a link retains full responsibililty for the content and upkeep of their professional web site. Professionals must be licensed to be included.
